Twon Pope (Bobby Byrd) Twon Pope is a Oakland, CA native. A graduate of Oakland School for the Arts; In addition to pursuing his own career as an actor, Twon also teaches young performers in various schools and programs around the Bay Area and Los Angeles. In 2016, Twon made a trip to Los Angeles to take a summer course at Art Of Acting. Shortly after, he decided to unpack his suitcase and stay to pursue his acting dream full time. In 2017, Twon received a Scenie Theatre Award for Outstanding Performance by an Actor in a Featured Role for (CROOKS) Of Mice and Men. Some personal and fan favorite roles include, (CLAUDIO) Much Ado About Nothing; (ZONITA) African American Shakespeare Co. rendition of Cinderella; (GUS GREENLEE) Blackballed: The Rise and Fall of Negro League Baseball. Twon is a proud company member at Towne Street Theatre (LA) and was recently seen in the short TV movie, Blue Light Melody, now available on Amazon Prime. Twon is extremely thrilled to be making his debut as “Bobby Byrd” in Remembering James and gives honor to these greats for leaving a remarkable spark in our history. Natusha Howard (Velma Brown/Performer), discovered her LOVE for theater and acting in the 7th grade and have been performing ever since. She received her Bachelor's from Prairie View A&M in acting as well as a Masters from CalArts. She thanks God for being able to do what she love to do.
