Remembering James Will Return this Coming Fall amid COVID-19 Mass Gathering's ban.

Show Description:
Remembering James, a 90 minute musical tells the story of The Godfather of Soul, with thought provoking narration. From his early days first starting out and spanning nearly two decades of what would become a monumental career, we see how a divided country, the growing Civil Rights movement and the assassination of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. shaped James Brown's work. A eight-piece band accompanies, bringing the passion of Mr. Brown's music alive while offering a message of hope to a grief stricken nation looking for a moment of healing and celebration.

written by & starring Dedrick Weathersby and Featuring the Remembering James Band. Twon Pope as Bobby Byrd and NaTusha Howard as Velma Warren Brown.

Presented by Weathersby Productions and SuperBad Theatre Company
